Chick with lump, hard area under vent

I am having trouble viewing the problem, other than an enlarged lower belly. How is the chick acting? Is it eating and drinking, and walking around, and alert? Have you witnessed it pooping? You could try giving it a few drops of molasses in some wet food. That can work as a mild laxative. You could also lubricate the vent with oil on a QTip. I am going to bed, and will check in tomorrow.

Eggcessive I see her drink water, eat, run and hop around with the others and is very alert. Albeit a bit slower than the others, I don't really have the time to watch what they do except every now and then when I can to check on them but in the morning I'll get pics and add the update. I'll put it in its own little area and see if it poops. And thank you, I'll try that.

Eggcessive It's not mushy chick disease, that's a bacterial infection of the naval area from what I've read. This is above that, under the skin. It's like the chick has some kind of swelling and still has the hard area. The chicks belly button looks fine. I was unable to get pics today but it's still acting the same. Active, alert, eating, drinking and is pooping. This is the first time I've ever seen this is my flock, I have the parent stock and everyone is healthy. Seeing as it's a Svart Höna I'll take it to my vet as soon as I'm able. Sorry for such a late reply, I've just now been able to update. Thanks so much everyone for the advice and answering my post!

I'm wondering what you ever found out. My 2 week old chick has the same....acting fine, eating, pooping, etc....just has a large hard lump under vent.
