I have six (4 week old) chicks. Two of which are are Speckled Sussex. One of the SS has wings that are not developing properly. It does not appear to be a case of slow wing development. Rather, they have grown out, but not fully. Just a few of the lower feathers. They are long and curled up at the end. She is very healthy otherwise. Eats a ton. Same size as the others. The others are starting to perch on the side of the brooding box and she just sits there and cries LOUDLY because she can't fly up there to be with them. I've raised several "batches" of chicks before and I've never seen this. That said, I am in no way a chicken expert. Thoughts? I'll try to post a pic or two.
