I just moved my chicks to the brooder. I had noticed yesterday that one of the chicks seemed to have an eye closed, but couldn't see much in the incubator. Now I can tell that it has one eye shut all the time.
It's a cute little chick! very spunky, chases my son's finger on the side of the brooder box, eating and drinking. in and out of the heat-lamp hot spot just like the rest. I really don't think it's sick.
Could it be a deformity?
Could it be glued closed with egg white (one of the other chicks has some hardened white or something on it's back and head)
Should I leave it alone or try to clean it?
I'll try to add a picture with my phone
