Chick with poo on bottom

HI,
I have a baby Silkie, about 1 or 2 weeks old. Anyway, 2 days after I brought her home she started getting poo on her bottom. I have had to constantly on a daily basis clean it. I have since cut her down there and haven't had a problem.
A couple of weeks ago I lost an older Silkie chick, she was about 2 -3 months old. I noticed 2 days before she died she had the same thing going on.
Is this normal in baby and older chicks? And what do I do about it?
I have a Frizzled that does not (at least right now) have this problem.

It's called pasting. They can get poo holding them shut so they die from not being able to poo. Soak warm water on it to soften and wash their butts regularly.
