Hi! I bought six chicks from IFA on 2/27. They’re all doing amazing except one. She had pasty butt and her vent started to protrude. I have given her three to four bum baths a day to help her clean the area. I think she’s over the pasty butt issue but her bum never gets clean because of the scabs. The other chicks aren’t bothering or pecking her. She eats, poops and acts fine. How do I help her? Do I need to separate her?

If the other chicks aren't bothering her, it's best to leave her with her flockmates. I'd apply some coconut oil to her vent area a few times a day, or some antibiotic ointment (without pain relief). Just keep it moist, but clean until it heals.

By the way, welcome to BYC! It's the best place to get your questions answered, share your stories, and help others along the way.
