I have a chick that is about 3 weeks old. It is a Barred Rock- I believe. (The farmer gave me a mix- didn't know what was what when put in the incubator.)
The chick's chin area has become very swollen. (Just under her lower beak.) Could this be a crop issue? I thought the crop was more the neck region. Any advice? It seems pretty sleepy- and is peeping like a chick seperated from the flock- although there are 3 others with it. It is also hiding under a larger chick's body- snuggling.
It's eating and pooping- although the fluid pooped is more clear than white. Eyes are looking fine- pupils normal.
Any thoughts would be appreciated- thanks!
