Chick won’t stop crying!

I have two 2 day old chicks in the brooder currently. They are both pretty quiet, but when I leave the room one of them starts cheeping super loudly. Whenever I sit beside the brooder, she is always eager to run up to me. Her sister doesn’t do anything like this. Is there any way to make her stop this? Will she grow out of it?

It sounds like she's imprinted on you, or something of the sort.
She should grow out of it. My guinea keet did this for a while. I think that he calmed down at around the time when he finished getting his first or second set of feathers in... unfortunately, I can't remember when that was. Some four weeks, maybe?

As sweet as that is, I can’t constantly be there for her . Last night she was under the weather (not eating, drinking, or milling about), but she’s feeling better now and is more active. Would this have anything to do with it?

Chicks sometimes cry a lot when they're not feeling well, yes, so that might have been helping with her persistent vocals.
If she has a friend, I would think that she would calm down after a little while... my keet would go constantly until he fell asleep, but he was all alone in the brooder.

Yea, she has a sister to socialize with. I also through in a fluffy plushie for her to snuggle up with, but it seems the non-loud one likes it instead haha
