I have a Bantam chick I got 6 days ago. Two days ago I found that she had pasty butt. I cleaned her off and found she was inflamed. I then put petroleum jelly and a chicken aid to help heal the rawness on her bottom and from where some of her feathers came out.
I noticed yesterday morning her crop was inflamed so I figured it was blocked. I held her on her side with her head down at an angle and massaged her crop. She threw up some of the larger chunks of feed. I then hand fed her water with electrolytes and vitamins every hour for the past two nights. I have also hand fed her water with electrolytes and vitamins, raw egg yolks, boiled egg yolks, ground up chick starter. She still won't eat or drink on her own. I can't keep waking up every hour to make sure she eats and drinks.
What other suggestions do y'all have?
