Chick won't fuzz up

I have a small chick thats is several days old. Its back will not fuzz up into normal fluffy down....why?

Hi,

Probably because it inherited the slow feathering gene instead of the fast feathering gene. Keep it warm as the other chicks and out of drafts. Give it time ad the feathers will come in. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delayed_feathering_in_chickens
