Hi! I just moved to Central Florida and am hoping to find some backyard chicken owners nearby. Could use advice on ordinances and chicken coop recommendation.
I played with chickens as a little girl, and have always loved them. I am wondering how well they do here with the hot summers and very cool, though short winters.

Find your state thread

Chickens lose heat through their combs, so large combs are better for warmer areas. Look into Mediterranean breeds, such as Leghorns.
