(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We are new to chickens and don't have any yet. I'm part way through building a chicken run in our back garden measuring 6m x 2m.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
None at the moment, but hope to eventually have half a dozen, the run should be plenty big enough for that number.
(3) What breeds do you have?
None yet.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Google search.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Running, walking (with family and our dogs), cycling, motorcycling (Moto Guzzi), kayaking and on the waiting list for an allotment.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Married with two children, four cats, three dogs, 30ish fish. I work as a firefighter specialising in fire investigation and also have a fire investigation search dog (Called accelerant dogs in the USA). Live in the village of Portchester on the south coast of Hampshire which is home to one of the best preserved roman castles in Europe!
New to chickens so will be looking for tips and advice from you more experienced owners.
