Chicken about to lay?

Hi! Do you know if she could lay sooner? I noticed that today in the coop she has been making nest type things in the bedding.

I hope you have your nest boxes open. Put an egg, golf ball if no other birds are laying yet.
And when mine started to squat, i took the wire out from in front of the boxes and she flew in the box before i could turn around . i have a picture somewhere.

Oh realistically it could be "any day now" but mine usually (1 exception so far) lay 10-14 days after squatting onset, because I constantly test them for it, so I know to start looking for eggs a set period after.

Yup, Today I went into the coop and she did in fact laid an egg.

Mine decided to ignore me when I would try to get them to squat and then laid without any warning. Oh well, chickens will be chickens. LOL
