Chicken acting a bit drunk

she is also now occasionally 'waking up' acting like she is surprized and alarmed about where she is. She is when I pick her up she relaxes and also, with a little time she will rest on her own.

Sorry that she is still doing poorly. Enteritis, if that is what she is suffering from, is hard to treat. The antibiotic used needs to be specific for what bacteria is causing it, and getting a vet involved to do a gram stain on her droppings may help. Clostridium perfringens is a common bacteria in the soil that can cause it, and many antibiotics including the penicillin you have already used is sometimes used to treat it. There are other bacteria, so I would consult with a vet. I don't have any experience treating it as some others here on BYC have. I was just wondering if she was vaccinated for Mareks disease? That can make young chickens have a lack of immunity to many common diseases, and could be making her wobbly.

She started seizure get at about 8pm so I put her down. I'm still puzzled about how she rallied and then deteriorated so quickly. I've put her remains in the freezer. Do you know how I'd go about getting an autopsy done on her?
