Chicken acting strange

I have an 18 week old cockerel who was acting weird.
I walked outside and it almost seemed like I startled him he jumped up and ran forward then seemed a little disoriented and started walking backwards a few steps. He then shook all the dirt from his feathers (he was in the dust bath) and started walking normal but then he stopped and laid down again?
Everyone else is up moving around and hot because it’s 96 but feels like 107.
I’ve put ice in some electrolytes out there and have been doing that for them for the last week except yesterday. But I take out big ice blocks every day and add them to their water.
I watched him eat an apple and drink some plain water but then he just keeps laying down.

it just seems strange as I’ve never seen them lay down except when dust bathing or roosting but he’s laid down in like 5 different spots on the property. Is he okay? Maybe just a little dehydrated??

He might have been sleeping too! When we startle one of our sleeping hens or our rooster, they act a little weird sometimes too.
I know quite a few people, myself included, that wake up disoriented and act a little weird for a few minutes, especially if I'm startled awake...! ;-)

I totally know that feeling! I’m so new to chickens I worry about everything 🤪
