What are some things you do to keep your chickens entertained?

I don't really need to give mine anything to entertain themselves with because they're free range. But in the past during the wintertime, when they can't really get out, I would get a cabbage and poke a string through it and then hang it up in their run for them to peck at. They always seemed to love it!

They like a piece of old rotten log, weeds pulled up from the garden, new piles of shavings (I let them spread it,) branches in the run to sit up on….
