My chickens obviously have chick ticks or chick fleas that have gravidated to my Brittany Spaniel, Sassy. She has these really small fleas on her belly that I cannot remove. I have tried tweezers to no avail. I finally sprayed her belly with Frontline Flea Spray even though she gets the K9 Advantix every month. The vet called them Stick-tite fleas from chickens. She said they are difficult to control and suggested I use K9 Advantage, just a drop or 2 on each chicken. She said it was not that strong, and it would remove these little devils from the chickens and therefore from my dog.
How do all of you deal with these little chicken tick/fleas?
I would think a powder would be good for the chickens since they love dust baths. Can anyone help me with this problem. I adore my chickens, and my Brittany. How can they co-exist without infesting each other?????
