Chickens will naturally have a full crop at night. They eat up at dusk and store it to digest during the night. Check in the morning, and they should be fine...

Thanks for the pictures. I'm new to owning chickens, and I believe one of my girls has a sour crop, so it is nice to be able to visualize where that is. I was pretty sure I already knew, but nice to double check! Thanks again.
