Chicken and turkey eggs

So I raised a turkey in the same coup as my chickens. They are all about 5 to 9 months old and the hens were not laying. On Monday the turkey went somewhere else and now my chickens are laying eggs. Has anyone ever had that problem? Think it’s coincidence or from the turkey?

Could be the turkey was stressing them out.
Could be they were laying out in a range area until the turkey left?
What age and gender was the turkey?
