after everyone was so helpful I thought I'd put together a little chicken first aid kit lol. So many ppl have posted about chicken respiratory problems and we do have a lavender chick (approximately 3 weeks ish old) that has a gooey eye (I think it got pecked and I've given it drops and separated it) but I was starting to wonder about antibiotics. Does anyone know (or have the direct link) to where I might be able to purchase chicken antibiotics online? We live in Ontario Canada so things may be different.

I doubt very much if you can get antibiotics without a vet prescription in Canada. In the US, sometimes pigeon suppliers will sell certain antibiotics, but there may be a problem shipping them to Canada. The gooey eye could be MG (mycoplama gallisepticum) or possibly coryza if it smell bad. Denagard, oxytetracycline, doxycycline, are some that would treat MG in chickens. But the problem with respiratory diseases is that without testing, many look alike. The diseases are usually chronic and make carriers for life, with the exception of infectious bronchitis virus.
