This is a very late post to this thread, but...

Pickin Chickens app from Mother Earth News is great fun if you're shopping for new breeds. I have chickens and I still use it to dream about more chickens.

I wonder if there is an app that you can use to make all the chicken sounds to help control your flock. That would be kinda cool. I keep trying to mimic the rooster "tick-tick-tick" that calls the hens to food, but a recording would work much better. I might make the app if I can get high quality sounds somewhere, and maybe add some other useful stuff. Please PM me if you know where to get a complete set of quality sounds.
