One day I did not get out there until abou 7:45am (weekend) and one of my chickens who did not lay and egg the day before was walking up and down the ramp. I figured she must really had to lay an egg. So I open the nest box to remove my blocker and she was up there pecking at the wood block I had in place. I removed it and she jumped right in there an layed that egg. She is my early layer and I had to get out there early.
