Chicken ate a piece of my shoe!

One of my pullets (4 months old) pulled off a plastic/rubber piece of my shoe and swallowed it. It was a small piece. But, what should I do? Is this likely to harm her?

I think if she didn't choke on it when it happened you're out of the woods. SHe'll be fine. I once read on here how a person watched their chicken swallow a length of window caulking and lived.

Unless the piece is large enough to cause an obstruction there's no real need for concern beyond monitoring for the next couple of days

What kind of monitoring should I perform for the next few days? Daily inspection of her crop?

I'd make sure food kept going in one end and poop keeps coming out the other.
