Chicken ate plastic will it be ok

One of my chickens ate a piece of plastic. The plastic looked like it came from a plastic bag. It was about the size of a finger nail. The chicken is about 4-6 months old

I think she should be fine, if it was only a little bit.

A piece that small will most likely pass through her system and come out the other end. Just monitor her to make sure she keeps pooing and eating normally for the next few days.

She will probably pass that small piece of plastic in about 2 hours. Chickens have a very fast digestive system. I would not worry much about it. There is probably not much you could do anyway. Keep the thread updated.....

One of our girls at some glass once (got to it before we could stop her) and we were so concerned. She was fine and didn’t seem to be bothered one bit! Chickens are weirdos sometimes.
