My neighbors chickens came in my backyard and almost killed one of my chickens!!! Her name is Indy and her wing is cut opened bad how do I bandage it and how do I keep the chickens away from the wound!

ANY THING WILL HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!

I've just recently learned a hard lesson. Any wounded chicken and flies out, the flies will be attracted to the wound and lay their eggs on the wound and then you'll have Flystrike (maggots in the wound). Put her inside in cage, a big one like for a dog where there are no flies and check it often. Wash it with purified water and put tripple antibiiotics on it. Fly eggs can hatch in 12 hours so check often. This also will keep the other hens from pecking her. Keep her inside until her wound is healed. Put a broom stick or such in their for her to perch on. Put food and water in their and well lit during the day. Do not set it outside or garage or anywhere a fly will be.

They sell a wound spray at tractor supply that will keep bugs out. And it will help heal
