Chicken attacked by a Osprey

Second step would be to clean her up, & trim away feathers for a better observation of the wounds. But make sure she isn't in shock anymore first.

Wounds can be flushed with saline or chlorhexidene, or wound spray such as vetericyn, theracyn, microcyn. Then when dry, coat it with plain Neosporin or Triple antibiotic ointment twice a day.

She is drinking today. I will trim the feathers away. The bones are showing. She was talking to me. Does not seem to be in shock anymore. Thank you

Thank you I did just buy her vetericyn and will be using neosporin. Would you suggest covering the wounds.

Can we get better pictures after she's cleaned up?
