Chicken attacked by dog

Hello all. I had a dog get into my chicken run and attack my hens. Unfortunately the one hen my kids have adopted as a pet was attacked and left with what appears a broken leg. The hen just drags this leg behind as she hops around. What if anything can be done for this chicken?

First, treat for shock by giving warm Gatoraid or warm water with sugar and a pinch of salt and baking soda mixed in. This may improve the injured leg.

Give this all day today. Examine the leg for an obvious break. It may be a fracture and rest may heal it in a few weeks. A compound fracture, one where the bone is sticking out, may require a vet visit.
