chicken attacked by dogs

Aspirin is administered in the event of a heart attack because the heart attack involved blood clotting, which the aspirin would counteract.

I'm not up to speed regarding animals and pain killers which are safe for them, but to my knowledge aspirin is safe for chickens. In my own flock, if a chicken is ill enough to need pain medication, I'd be culling her.

She looks like there are some puncture wounds around her right shoulder and wing. Any others? Can you clean the wounds with normal saline, then apply triple antibiotic to them? I would avoid the hydrogen peroxide. It is very hard on broken skin and not recommended for wounds, other than initial cleaning. even so, saline would be better IMO. Saline can be bought in a spray bottle which can be used to irrigate the puncture wounds.
Off topic in regards to human heart attacks, in the case of plaques causing the restriction, ASA basically makes the blood more "slippery" and able to get through smaller spaces, it doesn't have to be a newly formed clot you are trying to break up. Of course they load you up with morphine too for pain relief and vasodilation too once you get to the ER. Morphine also reduces the oxygen demand for most other systems taking you out of your flightor fight response to the pain and feelings of impending doom.

Calendula hydrosol spray. Or make a tea of calendula and give her a bath in it. If not the vetricyn is good. A vet told me hydrogen peroxide dilute with half water.

One other option I would consider viable is stopping by your vet's office and pick up some chlorhexadine rinse for irrigation. They will probably provide free 5ml syringes as well when you buy the rinse, on dog flesh I haven't seen any bad effects from its use.

I will admit I have yet to experience any chicken injuries.

How's she doing? Is that brown area on her back skin? Poor girl. I've had a couple of these. Had an "Americauna" with a tear like that at the base of the tail. That was the most difficult to heal. We were given silver sulfadiazine to put on it. I had to have all of them stitched up by a vet. Spent hours picking feathers and dirt out of puncture wounds and skin tears and rinsing with saline.
A bath may be too much as she might get to chilled, but I agree that the wounds probably should be flushed. You could mix up a warm saline solution with distilled water and salt and use a dropper or syringe of some kind to gently wash it across the wound.
If that is skin, she may be losing a lot of fluid, like a burn victim. You could give her electrolytes to drink. There is a recipe on here somewhere for a homemade version. There are Hydrocolloid bandages which absorb drainage, keep the skin moist and covered, and helps the skin heal faster (forming fibers or matrix in the skin to regenerate). My local CVS has a 3x3 inch type, although you would need to cut off any adhesive around the edges (I'm not sure if there is any).

Is she used to you enough to drape a cloth over her to keep the dirt out of the wounds and keep her warm?

she is eating but not pooping or drinking that i can see. i will try to get a pic soon.thanks for all the advice.
Feed her some very wet crumble to get some liquid in her without resorting to syringing. Let her rest. That's she eating is a very good sign of no shock.

are you able to bathe her? If so, bathe her in a tea. If you don't have calendula try chamomile or lavendar. I think you could add salt to the bathing water. Keep her inside like in the bathroom. Then she won't be cold and you can keep your eye on her better.

In addition to antibiotic injections, eight days at vets and we did for 10 days we applied the following to the wounds:
Vetedine solution - includes iodine, using clean swabs each day. We were told that this was the antiseptic treatment.
Sulmidol - sulfate type cream. This would protect the skin and had antiseptic qualities as well.
To be fair, the treatment worked extremely well and the smaller, less injured, bird presented us with her first egg since the dog attack on 2nd January. The other bird is still recovering from digestive issues from the antibiotics but is getting there!
