I'd be inclined to suggest that you just make sure you get the antibiotic to soak through the feathers. Definitely don't try to peel things off of a fresh wound if you can avoid it at all.

Could they sew some skin over? I wonder if there is any stretchy skin left?It may not be very good to have the bone exposed. That's a major avenue for infection. I'm not too sure what you could do about it at this point, but the skin should really be covering it.
I was wondering the same thing but can't remember what @Raptorchick's 'end of bone' looked like.It may not be very good to have the bone exposed. That's a major avenue for infection. I'm not too sure what you could do about it at this point, but the skin should really be covering it.
I got it today, do I give it to her orally, in water or injection. If I were going to choose between amoxicillin and procaine penicillin G, I would choose the amoxicillin. Amoxicillin dosage is 250 mg twice a day for 5 days. But a deep bone wound would probably require something like cephalexin or baytril. I would order the baytril now, and I got mine in 2 days from here:

It was $31 with tax and shipping. Dosage is 0.05 ml per pound twice a day for 5-6 days, given orally. Enrofloxacin is baytril.
