chicken attacked by raccoon

I'm so sorry. We learn from every chicken we lose, so even though they are gone we gain things from it.

I have been lucky to have never had a racoon issue *knock on wood* 😄, but they sound awful.

We had the same thing happen just this Sunday. Ours is separated in our basement, her neck only seems to have gotten worse, but we never braced it or anything. It almost seems like wry neck. Ours has even laid an egg but I'm worried about the neck. I just posted my own thing, but I was looking for ideas on it too.

We're giving her vitamin water and food at the moment.
Us too this morning. During the day. Not sure what it was the the whole flock is dazed and scared. I feel terrible. I’m sorry it happened to you too.

I too, had 5 killed 2 days ago, and am nursing one with a neck injury. We think raccoon got in the coop. She cannot balance or walk, stays on her side, head tucked to the right. I have to put her beak in the water and food( liquid for now, as she cannot seem to peck.
