Chicken attacked by sisters

Can you do something for me? It will help us determine if this problem could be a stuck egg or just sour crop. You may want to slip on some latex gloves.

Place your hen on a counter or work bench. With a soft wet Kleenex, gently push on her vent. Look closely and feel through your fingers if she pushes against them with her vent as if she's trying to poop.

Try it one more time. Look and see if her vent tries to open up as if she's trying to lay an egg.

If her vent remains flacid as you pushed on it, more than likely she has sour crop and not a stuck egg.

Ok no push back when I did this. The area has blueish spots that’s I could not wipe off. Still only white discharge. She is alert and getting pissed at me lol but alive

Good. Now we know she needs to be treated for Candida. Can you get some miconazole? It's a vaginal yeast cream sold in the women's hygiene section of the pharmacy section. Go back to my post #6 and follow those directions in the link I gave you.

You need also to treat her injuries on her back end. They are being made worse by the yeasty discharge. Mix up a nice warm sudsy tub of water and soak her for five minutes, then gently wash away the crud. Dry her with a blow dryer if you have one or pat her dry with a warmed towel from the clothes dryer. Then spray Vetericyn on her wounds. Use Vetericyn on her wounds two or three times a day.

You may need to bathe her again tomorrow if the discharge continues to coat the wounds.

Thank you soooooooo much! She has been bathed and patted dry and the Vetericyn was applied. First feeding of the cream...she isnt happy with me lol..but hopefully this will start her rehab. Ill bathe her again when I get home from work tomorrow.
