Okay so this isn’t my chicken it’s actually my neighbors. But it’s in my front yard. At noon today I came home to a what I thought was a dead chicken in my yard. I left it there not sure what to do with it. It’s 7 hours later and I was looking out and I saw it move. It had not moved all day and then it started moving. It tried to walk but fell down. And now it’s laying down. It’s head is tucked under its body. But it is still breathing. I’m not sure what to do with It. My neighbors aren’t home to come get it. I don’t know if it’s to far gone to save or not. I didn’t see any wounds on it but there might be internal damage. I haven’t moved it from it’s spot in the yard

I think you'll need to provide the gang here some more information for us to be of any guidance.
It is unfortunately true that many times a chicken won't survive an injury. Little movement sure isn't a good sign, but I do believe we have a moral responsibility to thoroughly assess the animal and act as appropriately as we can.
Please do check on the hen.

Personally, I'd call animal control and have them come get it, since it's the neighbor's chicken and they aren't around. They should not have let it get into your yard. Plus, Animal Control will probably know how to help it.

What is your reason for not giving it aid?
I’m not sure what to do. I at first thought it was dead. So I left it and was going to contact the neighbors. But now that it isn’t dead I’m not sure what to do. I don’t know if moving it will make it any worse. I do what to help it but I’m not sure what the best say to do that is

I just went to check on it and it looks like it’s neck is broken. When it stands up it won’t raise its head. It just Dangles. And it is breathing very heavily

Please gently bring this chicken inside and give it a calm, warm place to sit. At least then it won’t get attacked by another predator. It might just be really sore. If it has a broken neck, I don’t think it will make it. But again, it may not be broken. We once had a rooster named Brownie on these forum who was nursed back to health by a child. At the beginning, he appeared to have s broken neck. Can you put little droplets of water on it’s beak and see if it will swallow?

Hello I wanted to let everyone know that we finally got ahold of the neighbors and I was able to get the chicken to them. It was still alive when o brought it to them. What they will do with her from there... I’m not sure. I would have loved to care for her, but I have chickens of my own and I don’t want to chance any potential diseases getting into my flock. Thank you all for your help!
