Well I guess I would give it time to see if it's just the molt or she has just turned mean. I was ready to cull mine but DH wouldn't allow it, so I waited and she was fine in a couple of weeks.

All I can say is that I'm glad my DH doesn't cull me when I get cranky from a bad hair day.

He just keeps his distance while I sulk under a hat

I had a RIR who did that to me and I was ready to get rid of her when I realized she was partially blind. She didn't understand me, I was not chicken to her so therefore, must be dealt with. I seperated her from the flock because of abuse from one of the other hens who must have realized her disability. She lived for awhile as a dearly loved pet but as her eyes got worse, she wouldn't leave her house and had difficulty finding her food and water and eventually, died. So take a look at her, she may not be stupid but blind.
