Hello! I am new to this forum and look forward to hearing back from all the experts. I have 10 - 8 week old chickens. They are a mixed group of docile breeds. I have a lavender Orphington that my other chickens started feather picking on her neck and rear end. They do not bully her. They let her eat with them, drink with them, lay with them, and never are mean to her. They just pick her feathers. They have a very large hen house and run. She has always been the most docile of the group. Seems to lay down a lot when the others don't. Her comb is very pale so not sure if she is just sickly?? Any ideas? They only seem to pick at her feathers when they are all laying together.

Welcome!
What exactly are you feeding your flock each day? And is it possible to take a short video of this particular bird and upload it to YouTube?

Hello! Thank you! I have attached a few pictures of her comb and area they are picking feathers. I am feeding them Grubbly Farms starter feed. I will give them treats in the evening sometimes, organic oatmeal, cherry tomatoes from my garden, cucumber and watermelon. When they get one of those treats it is in small doses, never extreme. They will free range just a little bit in the evenings. I am confused because they never leave her out of things and are never mean to her.

I'd stop feeding all these treats and only feed the balanced feed for a while. This bird may not be getting a good enough balanced diet and that can cause problems.

Thank you! We will stop everything except the feed and see if that helps!
