About your chicken's foot, a variety of things may help. Personally I would use stockholm tar, pure and undiluted, but many folks don't have that and don't know where to get it, so if you post this question of yours in a new thread, it will attract more replies with a wide variety of suggestions. This is an old thread and it's likely a lot of folks have unsubscribed from it.
