Chicken bedding question

Just a quick question for all you lovely experts.. I been thinking of using coco husk as a bedding in my chicken coop and quail coop. Has anyone used it here. Also has anyone used peat moss as bedding? I been using horse bedding.. chopped hemp. Super absorbent..
I use coco as part of my planting mix but it isn't cheap so I'd never thought about it for the coop. If you have access to it and it's affordable it seems like it might work and be great for the garden after. Just curious, do you not have wood chips or dried leaves where you are?

I found wood chips are not very ubsorbant and i dont have access to dry leaves. Crushed hemp worked really well for me and was very cheap over time. Do you use deep litter method in your coop?

yes... Should be more specific. I use it in my winter housing. Rest of the year, no litter in the mobile housing as they move frequently.

How much do you pay for how much hemp? Does it come in compressed bales or.....??

I too use coco for my gardens but it's way more expensive than wood shavings.
Coco husks or coir?

I use 20kg compressed bail.. I added the photo of the one I currently use.

I wanted to experiment with coco coir.
5kg block expands to 70 litres once a bit of water is added.
