Chicken Behavior

Hello! I have a sweet hen named Cinnamon. She is an olive Egger, and she lays wonderful eggs. In the chicken fence, there is a gate with a latch on the bottom. Recently, whenever my mom is closing the gate, Cinnamon peaks her HARD. One time my mom even started bleeding. This is unlike Cinnamon, for she is sweet and gentle. Also, she has not laid an egg in two days. What is going on?

Hi, is Cinnamon your only chicken?

Just wondering as if you have a few, and she's bullying them too, maybe a time out in a cage or different pen apart from the rest would give her an attitude adjustment.

The other idea I had is give your mom a water bottle sprayer and when she goes to shut the gate, and Cinnamon comes over to peck her, give her a squirt. After a couple of times, she'd stop. Your mom might have to always carry that bottle with her when she goes out there though.
