Hey guys, I have a real problem here. My chicken (2 month old Black Australorp) is being stalked my my neighbor’s pesty outdoor cat. The cat keeps looking at my chicken and walking near the coop. My chicken is constantly pacing back and forth, hiding, and jumping on places for safety. This all just started today. At night I lock her up in the upper floor of the coop, but she is just stressed. The whole coop itself is safe, but the thought is making my chicken lose her mind. What should I do? Is this a big problem?

Does your neighbor's cat get on YOUR (special emphasis added) property? If so, a conversation with your neighbor would be in order. In my area, although rural, there is a leash law. Once off of the owner's property any dog or cat must be on a leash. Cat owners always say .... "You can't do that to a cat.", to which the reply is, "Fine, I'll simply let my pit bull run free. Have a nice day."

My cats would have killed my baby chicks had they not been penned up but now the page has turned and the cats run from them .Having a rooster helps.
