I did not do the art. My Mother did the art. I wish I could take credit for that. Thank You for the kindness.

I was talking about the bench building, silly! The paintings are wonderful, too.
(Now I'm kicking my self for my lack of creativity. I need a new hobby...)

Thank You. I am trying to get my skills to furniture quality. Those benches are not furniture quality. They are more of an Arts & Crafts thing. I am learning though. I am trying to slide into this and off of that back breaking tractor that I make my living on. I am in my early 40's and its time to start thinking about taking it easier. Those chicken paintings are good but my Mother can really really get down when she wants to and do picture quality portraits of people. I can not. She tried to tell me I could do it too and I suggested she try and remember those coloring books I had in my youth. I had the ugliest coloring books ever. No artistic abilities traveled from Mother to son. None.

Thank You so much for your kind words.

I've been told by folks who work with wood and actually know about these things that this is pine. I took this board off of an old old house in Cut-N-Shoot Texas years ago. I made those benches from one piece of wood. If I can actually sell these I will produce more. I am working with an old picture frame that came out of that house now. I am going to refinish it and have my Mother do some artwork on a piece of Mesquite that I am going to stick in the picture frame. Maybe more chickens or some ducks or hunting dogs or something of that nature.

The only thing I have ever really built, is horse corral, but not all level and stuff, but they worked.
