ok, so my chicken will be turning 1 years old on April 23rd.... I was thinking of making a special treat for her. I was thinking of mixing seeds, fruit, and some crackers in some yogurt... “ I have a very tight budget” any ideas? Will this be ok for my soon to be 1 year old hen?

Wouldn't use a ton of yogurt. It can give them diarrhea in large amounts. Maybe scramble some eggs with seeds and fruit for her instead.

I was thinking one of those small yogurts that have the small cup with candy or crushed cookies as a lid.
But the egg thing sounds good, I’m just hoping we have our fruits growing by then. I’d hate to use store bought fruit. Can chickens eat crushed postatios? Ik it’s spelled wrong...

I think they're wrong on the potatoes. When we were kids, we had budgies, and we used to give them mashed potatoes (cooked, no skins) as treats on the advice of another internet site. Never noticed any ill effects.
