Hello! I have recently noticed my chicken has been loosing feathers in her wing area. I assumed it was just her molting since she has been laying a lot of eggs, however now she is bleeding. I separated her to access the situation. She is still eating like normal and she is still laying eggs , I looked for parasites and I do not believe to see anything. Her vent looks fine and everything. I’m pretty sure the problem is pecking from boredom since I haven’t been able to let my chickens roam outside as much as usually due to my new neighbors. Seeing how this has affected them I will be speaking to my neighbors to see if I can let them out more. I just want to know what should I do to heal her? Should I put alcohol on it? Should I wrap it? How long should I keep her separate?

Alcohol stings pretty bad. I would clean off the wound with saline or spray with chlorhexidene or Veterycin. Soap and water are good as well. Apply antibiotic ointment to the wound twice a day after cleaning. Separate her in a pen or dog crate near the others, and keep her from flies.

Okay thank you!
