Chicken books -- do you have any?

I've got 2 but I got them for the photos and descriptions of different breeds. Almost anything I know about care and management comes fro you guys.

I borrowed several books from the library, joined BYC & got a subscription to Backyard Poultry magazine to get me started. Later I bought Storeys illustrated guide to poultry - which is awesome - and I highly recommend Hen and the Art of Chicken Maintenance! For questions about my chickens I have found BYC to be the best resource.

No don't have any........... don't really need them................. but I do own a copy of the current APA Standards of Perfection (SOP) every serious breeder should have a copy.

I don't own any printed chicken books, but I do have several older books that are available online you can even download the pdfs to view anytime

Here is one link to a great source of info including a 1920's edition of the Standard of Perfection ( SOP ) by the APA and even a Plymouth Rock SOP and a Wyandotte SOP

http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=Standard of Perfection Poultry AND mediatype:texts

My understanding is that most of the info in the SOP has not really changed. New breeds have been added and you would need specific info for those newer breeds, but there is some great FREE info in these books.

This is Goggle's version with some good books too

Lost and lots of very old but good poultry books are available for free, just wanted to share.

I do miss not having the books, I like to fold down the pages and highlight important info, but I do have software that will convert it to actual text so I can cut and paste into a usable document for me. (it will even convert it to a audio file I can listen to in the car
