Chicken breaking eggs

Hi everyone, has anyone had problems with their chickens breaking eggs? Not egg eating . they go into lay and when they make their nests they are flinging eggs. I stood by the nestiong box yesterday and (i still have golf balls in the nest) listened as one was fling the golf ball at the side of the nest box. Sounded like a batting cage. LOL im assuming that is what is happening if there are eggs in there. Only 3 eggs so far but want to nip it now if i can. These are all new layers and maybe a bit excited when laying.They are laying in pine shavings. Any suggestion please? I am getting the eggs out when I can.

Some of the new layers do get pretty enthusiastic about re-arranging the nesting boxes. Make sure the nest is deep and you have a lot of bedding material so it makes a bowl shape and cushions the eggs, they don't seem to do it as bad in bigger nest boxes either.
