Chicken breathes with mouth open when picked up

    Any idea why my Orpington begins to breathe with her mouth open when I pick her up? This is not new and is not accompanied by any other signs. Actually, now that I think about it, she has a clicking feeling the her chest sometimes when she breathes. Other than THAT there is nothing else. Thank You.

    It could be that she is stressed by you picking her up.
