Here is a picture of a roo we had that has similar coloration. His bloodline includes White Rock, Brown and white Leghorn, a bit of game bird from several lines and small amounts of Americana, Hamburg and Rhode Island Red. His comb is walnut which means he has genes for Rose and Pea Combs (these genes reside on different loci) Its a very good comb for frost prevention as it is naturally small and its wattles are likewise small- The Chantecler chicken was bred in Canada for doing well in cold and they bred it to have a walnut comb for that reason (actually a cushion comb which is a walnut comb with modifiers that make it even smaller) The black breasted red color in roos is sort of the default state much like wild red jungle fowl. Many breeds have more than one color pattern. Thus a Black Copper Marans is Black Breasted Red, but a blue or barred marans looks entirely different. Brown leghorns are BBR but white leghorns are obviously not! The color of the roo is not enough to establish breed.

Black-Breasted Red
This term describes a bird’s visual color but is not linked to its genetic makeup. Within the BBR color scheme there are slight variations between breeds. Roosters are colored drastically different from hens. Roosters have black body feathers and a black tail, with red hackles, back, shoulders, and parts of the wing. Hens have brown body feathers with yellow-orange hackles or black hackles laced in gold, a salmon breast, and black tail. They maintain the coloring of red jungle fowl, the original ancestor of modern day chickens.
