Hmmm, poofy crest, no streamers... but the comb... ??? Would you consider that a U or V shape comb? i am totally hoping you have a pullet there, because that is one beautiful bird!!Silkie Pullet or Roo? 12-13 weeks of age! I see a little bit on red coming in above the beak (pictured where he/she is wet after a bath) Has had some feather loss on the back and on wings due to a fight with another hen. I have 6 other silkies same age with red only coming in below beak on the side of face so i'm a little confused!
Sorry I meant theseHere are some better pictures! Honestly I cannot tell! I have no experience with silkies But thank you! I sure hope it's a pullet!

Ok im on a mission, let me look for some other pics to compare to .. i want to say pullet tho..Sorry I meant these
Ok im finding references to reddish/purple combs at 13 weeks being roo.. i think that you have a high quality silkie, so both males and females will have such pretty feathering. Let me see what else i find.Ok im on a mission, let me look for some other pics to compare to .. i want to say pullet tho..
Ok.. my final vote is pullet.. she has ever so slight comb development.. the males im seeing waddles and a lot more pronounced comb.. plus her crest screams girl!Thank you! I posted better pictures of the comb. Let me know what you think!
Yay!!! I hope so. I swear out of the total 7 I believe I picked 7 pullets! None of them really have ANY comb development at all. If so this was sure luck. Also they all sleep together in a big ball and won't roost. They have been off heat for almost 2 months. Didn't know if that meant anything.Ok.. my final vote is pullet.. she has ever so slight comb development.. the males im seeing waddles and a lot more pronounced comb.. plus her crest screams girl!
