Chicken Breed Focus - Swedish Flower Hen

For fun let's play the gender guessing game! All 5 weeks. I'm busting to know who's what... I tried to get a body shot but I know at this point comb is more telling. I certainly have my suspicions (ahem...#1) but others I'm not so sure. So I'm asking the SFH experts.

So on #1, aside from his large comb, notice the red already coming in? Definitely boy.

I think 2 is also male and 5 is female.

Yours are either a little later developing than mine, OR you got more girls than I usually do.. :) Look forward to trying again in another week! :pop

Round 2! So #1 is a no brainer but I included him anyway. Pretty sure #2 is also showing true colors... I think I actually got the numbers on the same chick this time as last. So 6 week old gender guesses....GO...

Thinking 1,2, and maybe #7 are male. Looking like a good ratio. :fl

I am very happy to report that I was incorrect about the gender guess on my most recent batch (I said both were male) of SFH and I ended up with 1 male and 1 female! :celebrate Try to post a pic later. :)

#1 who was nicknamed Squirt shows the comb of a boy but he is so layed back. #2, Trouble, earned his name. He's so mischievous and bold there is no denying he's a roo! So far #7 still says hen to me. She was the first hatched and on the slightly bigger side but her comb hasn't grown or reddened in the least. Time will tell...:)
