A while ago there was a thread for chicken poetry, I was inspired to start a new topic on Chicken Breed haiku for all who want to participate. Just choose a breed that you love and post it! Haiku is a Japanese poetry that is VERY simple to write, so there is no excuse for people who don't have a way with words!

The only thing you need to know is that haiku has three lines. The fist has 5 syllables, the second 7 and the third 5.
The Black Australorp
Soft sheen of purple and green
Dark eggs and dark eyes

Who knows, we may even combine it in a book someday!

Oh, I had to write a haiku for school, and I did one about chickens!!

*Ahem*

The chickens scurry
and so I scatter
Then all is silent.

Very cheesy, I know...

. Pure Bantam Chickens
Cochins, Silkies, Rosecombs too
Little Eggs, Big Hearts
