Chicken broke/ate egg, any solutions?

Today we found 1 of 4 eggs pecked completly open on one side with the yoke and white all spilled out. This was the first time that it's happened, so we can wait to see if it happenes again, but we don't want the habbit to sink in or get worse. It was our Buff Orpingtpn's egg, so we're pretty sure it was her. It probably couldn't have been aything else other than her eating it, we don't have any roosters and we didn't find any signs of intrudors. We've gotton slightly pecked eggs before that cracked the shell but didn't break the membrane from her, but this one was broken and it looks like eaten a little bit. Are there any solutions other than to get rid of her?

my buff orpington does the same exact thing! how old is your chicken? when my buff first started laying thats all she did to her eggs but now that she has gotten older(10 months) she hasnt done it for about 3 months...she got out of the habit.
