Hi.
I am starting a small scale chicken buisness as a hobby. I will have 4 coops and 3 chicken tractors. The chicken tractors will have meat birds in them and the coops I dont know what breeds are popluar and what people want. I was thinking Rhode Island Reds, Americanas, Buffs, bantams. Any suggestions would be great. Im also wondering how much to sell chicks, pullets and ect.
Thank You All!!

I would do silkies since they sell really fast once available. But then again, some people want layer hens.

i am also starting out in selling and so far have found that if you have the common hatchery birds you can not charge anymore than they do. So I am trying to focus on the birds that seem to be in demand that the hatchery does not have. Which is the Marans, Ameraucana's and the Welsummers for around here. However not the common person likes looking at the blue/green eggs at first of the Ameraucana. It seems everyone likes to stay with common colours like brown eggs. I bought a bunch of different breeds at first but I think I am going to go down to just 4 groups. I have included the buff bramha bantams along with the 3 types mentioned above. I think in general you just have to try with certain breeds and see if it works or not. I want to have everything in place for spring.
