Chicken bumble foot

This is day 1 post excision

Please guys, don't tell me it's still in there, I cut the core and really squeezed the remaining tissue very well and excised the whitish tissue with its surroundings and couldn't excise more cause it was soft red tissue .

P.S : It's more whitish in the picture but not in the reality.

While dressing and when I open the wound, I try to squeeze and clean it with salty water and then apply the antibiotics. Is it normal to squeeze and expel the pus each time I re-bandage ?

Hello again!

The pus kept draining from the wound so I expanded the excision and tried to take out more but it was very hard but I managed to get rid of some semi-hard whitish stuff then there was no more to take out so I cleaned the wound and bandaged it and covered it with antibiotics, after 48 hrs I was re-bandaging and cleaning the wound but surprised by the appearance of semi- sold whitish material that covered some parts of the wound, I really wanted to take them of but the wound was healing beautifully and I was afraid of damaging the wound, the pic is below.

Any advices what to do with the whitish area? Will it be gone by applying antibiotics ?

P.S ; the brownish color is from bovidine Iodine.

Regards

Guy! I really need your help, come on, why nobody is replaying me?

I know my rooster foot is ruined but it's probably because he is 4 years old and heavy weighted, we live in apartment with roof, we have no garden and I know it's unfair for him but all that led to his huge bumble foot, I couldn't do anything about it earlier & it shocked me when I saw him limping, I know it's kind of late but I don't trust any vet in my area cause they will laugh and say " Really? You have a 4 years old rooster, you should just slay him" but we really love him and when he was fine, he was so angry and bite us whenever we come near him and run after us, so we kept him free in the roof but try to play with him between now and then when we feel no danger from him :D , the reason why I'm writing this is because I need you to give me advices on what to do ? How to treat this problem ? try to make it easy for him because both feet are hurting but one is a little better than the other, I'll post the latest photo of the wound dressing.

Best regards

I'm sorry about your chicken.

I've never had a chicken with bumble foot, so I'm not really sure what to do. A lot of posts take a while to get responded to, sorry about that.
I hope this helps: http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2011/07/bumblefoot-causes-treatment-warning.html

I know you are doing your best. Your rooster is lucky to have a good owner.

Best of luck! I hope he gets better and lives a long, happy life.

This is his foot after core excision after some cleaning, but those whitish stuff kept on appearing and kept on bulging, should I excise them each time I clean? But they seem so deep semi-solid that I really can't get them out , please help!
Regards

That does look pretty nasty. Is he on antibiotics? Do you bandage the wound after treatment so it doesn't get dirt in it? Keep it clean and try to kill off the infection.

I hope it gets better soon!

No, the wound is clean, trust me on this, but it looks like this because of the iodine and the antibiotics and mobile resolution (you can see the brownish color at the gloves), when I clean it's so white, sure I double bandage it but won't make it tight neither so loose, my problem is the semi solid white material that seemed to build a castle inside there.
